This is a post about taking a beat before you delegate something to your AI agent.
Even before we had a host of AI friends to help us out, we all had a problem distinguishing between putting energy into doing something more quickly and efficiently and facing the fact that maybe we just shouldn’t be doing it at all.
Sometimes it’s hard to stop doing something because the people around you have gotten used to it, and sometimes those people are your boss. Long after you know something isn’t working or isn’t worth your time, you are still doing it. It’s more tempting than ever these days to just offload those tasks to your little helper of choice.
Remember, the Eisenhower/Covey time management matrix had four boxes: Do, Decide, Delegate, and Delete.
AI can certainly expand your bandwidth, but spending it is still spending it. Don’t delegate what you should delete.
