Sometimes timing is everything – Savannah EDA hit the spot this year with comfort food just when we all needed it. For many years the Savannah Economic Development Authority has gifted location consultants with something special around March 17, recognizing that Savannah has one of the country’s great St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations. This year, it was Girl Scout cookies, arriving just as many of us were bunkering in and taking the breaks off emotional eating (oh, is that just me?) In past years it has been pecan pies or local honey, but the Girl Scout cookies somehow carry with them a feeling of a gentler, safer time.
Even better, the messaging reminded us that the organization and the program originated in Savannah.
