GreenSeam is a 10 year old initiative of Greater Mankato Growth dedicated to the agribusiness sector in South Central Minnesota. Their Global Workforce Program is the part of their program of work that recently caught my attention.
The purpose is to help defray the costs and overcome the hurdles to hiring international workers in a wide range of ag-related occupations, from professional to production – especially valuable for smaller companies with great need but without internal expertise and bandwidth.
So many things to like here – partnership, perseverence, working the issues at the scale that is possible until the bandwidth gets bigger. Read more abou the Global Workforce Program and the other initiatives here.
