The citizens of New Orleans put their money where their hearts are in 2022 by passing a property tax millage that enabled the city to double the number of subsidized childcare seats available and add resources to wrap-around services for infants and toddlers and the people who take care of them.  The state is matching funding, and other sources are joining in.

Does it need to be said again?  This is economic development because this enables workforce development.
