This time, I’ll remember Birmingham not because of a public sector workforce initiative, or even a public-private one. Moxi is a private company created by Cori Fain-Forrest offering childcare on demand. This unique model fills a gap for providers who have short term capacity to offer and for parents who need emergency or flexible solutions when schedules change or regular plans are disrupted. It’s hard to imagine a place that couldn’t benefit from skillful implementation of an idea like this one.
