When it was time to rebuild a local elementary school, Guilford County, NC saw an opportunity to change more than just the building.As construction continues through 2024, a whole new curriculum is also being designed for this new magnet school focused on a gaming and robotics CTE style learning experience.
Some may say elementary school is to early to get kids thinking about careers – let kids be kids and don’t “track” them so young. I disagree. When you’re a kid your imagination is wide open, and a school experience that feeds and expands their curiousity through active doing will serve them well and support them in taking creative risks. That kind of education doesn’t narrow their future options, it broadens them.
