The design of the home page is clean and interesting, the intention is clear, and the metrics appear to be well crafted to serve a number of stakeholders with community interests beyond business recruitment and retention.
AND, if you’ve been following my posts about data visualization, you know that ways to think about comparisons have been on my mind. I really like their choice of Aspirational, Competitive, and Nearby as three different categories of places to monitor; it keeps the content more neutral and more relevant for a wider group of users.
